Three steps to understanding your energy usage
Step 1
To see your standard energy usage, look at your display when only the essential electrical appliances in your house are turned on, i.e. your fridge-freezer.
Step 2
Once you know your standard energy usage, you can test out how turning on other non-essential appliances affects your costs i.e. check your display when boiling the kettle, or washing clothes.
Step 3
With better understanding of how much different electrical appliances cost to run, you can begin to make better decisions about how much electricity you use - how often you use your tumble dryer or dishwasher, for example.
