Watchdog urges businesses to engage with new ESOS energy efficiency scheme ahead of December 5 deadline.

The Environment Agency (EA) has today warned UK businesses risk missing out on £250m in energy savings if they ignore the regulator's latest attempt to boost the number of businesses compliant with imminent energy efficiency regulations.

The latest attempt to drive up business engagement with the new Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) ahead of a December 5 deadline for filing official energy efficiency audits comes amidst mounting fears thousands of companies will breach the new regulations.
