With careful and ongoing consideration of latest government guidelines and the stringent COVID-19 control measures SMS has successfully implemented since June 2020 to protect employees and customers, SMS continues to safely carry out installation works across the UK (England, Scotland and Wales). This includes domestic and commercial sites, in addition to the emergency and maintenance works we provide.

Health & Safety at SMS

At SMS, health and safety is of paramount importance and our number one core value. We have been and will continue to operate as a COVID-secure business with the very highest of health and safety measures in place, ensuring that we can continue to operate safely in the field.

Throughout the pandemic, SMS has additionally assisted in safeguarding the security and stability of the UK’s energy supply and metering infrastructure through the provision of essential maintenance. As we see out another period of national restrictions, a regular flow of gas and power will be needed to support our most vulnerable citizens, to keep hospitals running, and the economy moving.

In addition to rolling out smart meters and other energy services for our customers, we continue to maintain these essential supplies, whilst also doing everything we can to protect the health and wellbeing of our customers, our employees, and the wider public.
