Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibilities are an integral element of our business model and critical to our commitment to managing risk in all areas of the Company. We aim to effectively deliver solutions to our customers while also caring for the environment on which we all depend.

Sustainability Report

Inspired by our core value of Sustainability, SMS is committed to improving our business impact through Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts, highlighted none more so than our organisational Net-Zero 2030 target announced recently.

That is why, in tandem with a drive to ensure absolute transparency in our operations, we have released our inaugural Sustainability Report – which from now on will become an annual publication. In this Sustainability Report, we provide disclosure on the practical steps we are taking to progress ESG and Sustainability within SMS’s strategy and culture, propelled by our core company values. We have also focused on improving our disclosure and datasets to better share our performance and improve internal ESG processes in accordance with industry best practice.

Transparency in our operations is critical to assuring stakeholders of our responsible and encompassing management, which in turn drives down our exposure to risk. Making our sustainability efforts public also enables us to share our successes and progress with our investors, employees, customers, and all stakeholders. This new report therefore ensures a clear picture of the ethical business activities which underpin our enduring financial performance.
